Project Management is managing multiple simultaneous tasks in an attempt to deliver a completed project on-budget, on-time, and meeting the established quality. Earned Value Analysis is one of the greatest tools that Project Managers can use to monitor and control their projects and all of its moving parts.
This course focuses on the methodology and management tools that will enable Project Managers to recognize issues before projects have suffered insurmountable overruns in cost or schedule, and will leverage PMI’s Earned Value Analysis to develop monitoring metrics capable of determining performance, estimates to completion, and variances.
Who Should Attend?
Project Managers who have successfully managed project in the past but are looking for ways to improve overall performance and to better achieve repeatability of project success will receive the most benefit from this advanced methodology course delving into the mathematics of project based performance metrics.
Earned Value Analysis is somewhat different than Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) required by Department of Defense projects and ANSI Standard EIA 748. EVA is focused on the mathematics in a project and does not cover Cost Accounting Systems and other DOD related requirements.
